Naples

I have done the Joe Banana tour of Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano and would love to do this again.  Again, if anyone else is interested, let me know as it is around 75 Euros per person.

We can customize this tour any way we would like as long as we tell them ahead of time what we would like to see.  Pompeii and Sorrento are on my list. Positano is beautiful, but it is a bit of a drive so we can figure that out as a group if anyone wants to share this tour.  Our goal is to be back to the ship at least an hour before departure at the latest.

Each van is 500 Euros - if we have enough interest, we can get a second van (with notice)

if we have 6 people, the price is 75 Euros per person
If we have 8 people, the price is 63 Euros per person

Participants: (8 total)
Lisa and Terry (lisah101)
Joyce and Ed (14 months and counting)
Marge and Larry (MGS 13)
Janet and David (JR42)

Suggested Itinerary:

Sorrento (short stop for italian coffee/pastries if interested - last time this stop was on the cliff with an outdoor patio overlooking the ocean). Sights of Sorrento, shopping, Lemoncello samples, etc.

<to be determined - visit Naples, countryside, group lunch at a restaurant (price of lunch is on your own)>

Pompeii - arrive at 1pm at the latest, have two hour tour with licensed guide, back to the ship no later than 4pm.

Itinerary if we wanted to try Positano (long drive and short port time):

The Holland America usually sails out always early from Naples, and obviously there will be no time to cover
everything, but as i do this everyday my suggestion is this:
Pick up in Naples at 8:00 and if you can early and drive straight to Positano, departing at 8 we'll be in Positano at 9:30,
Have 40 minutes to walk around and meet back and drive to sorrento, 11am we'll be in Sorrento,
Have one hour here and drive to Pompeii we'll be in Pompeii latest at 1pm, you'll have two hours tour with your
licensed guide and by 3:15 you'll be out, by 4 pm you're back on the ship.
I do recommend to be on time in order to visit everything, and just in case there will be traffic on the road ( very rare in October) we'll skip
Positano.
I keep Pompeii in the afternoon as is closer to the port, and it is still nice to tour Pompeii in the afternoon in October.
